| Customer Reviews: Product works fine with Excellent service from Belkin December 27, 2006 Right On Mark 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this around 8 months back as I had to make frequent work trips to Irvine and I needed an adapter that could work with a couple of different brand portables. This set served the purpose well and has worked well over this time. Very sturdy makeup and works fine for long hours. Once I had a small issue and had to call Belkin an dtheir support was excellent. Within 3-4 days they sent one of the tips that I has lost. Will buy again the Belkin products.
Customer service good. Product design and quality crappy December 17, 2006 R. Klein (Cary, NC, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I travel a lot, so I bought this product for my Toshiba notebook computer about two years ago for powering up on the road. It worked great for a while . . . but then it stopped working because of an intermittant connection. I tried jiggling everything and called Belkin directly. They thought that it was in the power cord and sent me a new one . . . but it still wouldn't work all of the time. I finally discovered what appeared to be a loose connection in the tip for my computer (#130), and when jiggled just right, it worked. I called Belkin and told them what I found. They send me two more #130 tips . . . which worked fine for a while, but then they had to be jiggled to work as well. So, I called back and Belkin sent me a whole new Power Adaptor . . . but the same thing hadn't shortly thereafter. So now I have two complete Power Adaptors and about five #130 tips . . . and still, the only way I can get any of them to work is to constantly jiggle the tip and prop the computer so that the tip doesn't move. Bottom Line: good customer service, lousy product design and quality assurance!
Good Idea. Too bad it's junk. July 8, 2005 G. E. Grant (Port Townsend, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After returning two similar iGo adapters (which didn't work even just out of the box), I was initially pleased when the Belkin unit did work, most of the time. Ahh, that satisfaction was short-lived.
It started acting flakey after just a few weeks, and has now failed entirely. Hard to say what the problem is, but it appears to be the connection to the main A/C plug.
Now it's just an expensive paperweight that never comes on.
Stopped working after 4 days.... May 1, 2005 J. (Lawrence, KS United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this item (not from amazon) for my HP Pavilion zx5000 series notebook and my computer was not able to register the power supply (it would go into AC mode for two seconds and then switch back to battery) despite the Belkin website claiming compatibility with my laptop.
Stopped working after 2 days -- returning March 18, 2005 Tim (San Jose, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Returning. Stopped working after two days and about six hours total. All of a sudden, just no green light and the adapter will no longer work. Was powering an IBM Thinkpad R50.
