5 out of 5 stars Remote control for a projector   June 21, 2010
Stuart Schneider (Teaneck, NJ USA)
I was skeptical about this remote control. Would it work on my Mac Powerbook? It has a small switch inside that you set for Keynote (Mac) or Powerpoint (Mac & PC). It also has a tiny USB receiver that plugs into the computer to "connect" the two. When I plugged it in, my Powerbook said that it does not recognize the keyboard. After diddling with it for a while, I learned to start the Keynote program, hit Play, and then plug it in. It then works flawlessly. The built-in laser pointer is not very bright, so it is not very useful, less so than my other laser pointers. I really wanted a remote that let me move around and control the progression of "slides", so it works well for its intended purpose. Turning it on is a bit erratic. You push a button to turn it on and hold the button down to turn it off. Sometimes it does not turn on with a single push and I find that I must hold it down to get it to turn on. So far, this is a minor issue.

5 out of 5 stars Cool device   June 5, 2010

I really like the Targus wireless remote it does everything it said it would and is easy to use. It has very good range and I like the shape of it to fit in your hand easily while your presenting. I use it at the college I teach at for my presentations and has done a great job.

5 out of 5 stars Nice for presentation   May 29, 2010

I think, this is a real good tool for any professional presentation. It has a laser pointer too. Nice combination.

2 out of 5 stars Horribly cheap construction   May 21, 2010
C. Weaver (San Francisco, CA United States)
Having used several Targus products before, I bought the top of this pointer line (AMP09US). I was shocked at the poor construction quality. All of the plastic feels cheap (including the cheap plastic that looks like a rubberized underneath) to the point of having razor sharp edges all around. The battery door, which you need to open and close twice for every use because that's the storage for the USB, feels like it will snap and break at any moment. Compared to other lasers, this one is very weak, although it's visible enough for a room with 30-50 people. Larger rooms, and you'd need a separate laser. It just feels like something you'd get out of a bubble-gum machine, and I've had MUCH better quality from less expensive pointers (including other Targus).

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what it says   May 15, 2010
Jeremy Guler (Fishers, IN)
Works exactly like it says, no more no less. Compartment for the extra battery and usb is a nice bonus.
