5 out of 5 stars Great Webcam   September 11, 2010
Derek
Couldn't be happier with this webcam. I was going to go for a cheaper Logitech webcam, but I'm glad I spent the extra money. Works great under all circumstances: low light, bright light, close up, or far away. Picture and video quality is great, and the auto focus feature makes videos look so much better than previous webcams I've had. Software included works on Windows 7 and has a lot of features including motion detecting, which also works great. Skype videos look just as good as in the recording software that comes with it. Once again, Logitech made a reliable and quality product deserving of a 5/5.

5 out of 5 stars superb webcam   September 10, 2010

I own one of these and got one for a friend so we could video conference. The ease of setup and use makes it not only perfect for newer users, but the quality of the hardware and picture makes it great for more experienced users. How can anyone go wrong?

5 out of 5 stars HD Webcam   September 9, 2010

I received the webcam Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 / QuickCam Pro 9000in 2 business days; on time is normal with Amazon. The camera and software were easy to setup, install and use. I was up and working within 20 minutes. I have used the camera on Skype and Yahoo IM. Skype, so far, has a lot less delay in the sending and receiving of video. I am connected to the internet, both up and down, at 35mbs. I have tested the HD thru Logitech but don't have any friends with HD capabilities (I will insure my daughters and grand daughter upgrade). I am very satisfied with the audio and video but have only used it with 3 friends.
By the way, I run Vista on a AMD dual core 3800+ processor, 4GB RAM and have over 800GB free on my 2 hard discs. I have a Radeon x1300 video card and a 24" LCD monitor.

1 out of 5 stars Cannot record 720p at 30 frames per second   September 9, 2010
Larry A. King (Falls Church, VA United States)
This camera will only capture at a maximum of 15 frames per second using the Logitech software. I've tried a variety of third party software to try to capture 30 frames per second, and have not been successful at doing so. So, for video calls this may be a fine option. But if you are trying to record something that needs higher quality, like a video podcast, this camera will not fit the bill.

3 out of 5 stars Okay if you don't expect it to always work.   September 6, 2010

I am a pretty tech-savy person, but I can not seem to defeat this little webcam. When I first got it two years ago it worked wonderful. I use MSN Messenger and it was flawless. I did a computer reformat (Vista->Win 7) and when I reinstalled webcam it no longer works flawlessly. I have tried EVERYTHING. I read the forums, I got the new drivers/software, nothing seems to work. It is now VERY choppy (when it works) and all I get is a black screen on MSN Messenger. I was VERY happy with it until this problem. Maybe it is a Win 7 problem, I don't really know, but it's very frustrating.

It appears that if you take it to lowest quality it works better, but still not as good as it used to. It was not moved from it's exact same position, so I don't really know what to say.
